Consulting

Kaivani Consulting offers trauma‑informed, equity‑centered training, research, and advisory services for organizations, legal professionals, and community partners working toward safer, more accessible, and justice‑focused systems.

My work sits at the intersection of legal expertise, instructional design, and community-based knowledge. As a lawyer and educator, I bring a practice-grounded perspective to every engagement — one that takes seriously both the complexity of systems and the humanity of the people navigating them.

My Services:

Research & Writing

I conduct rigorous research and develop evidence-based written materials for lawyers, organizations, and institutions advancing gender equality, anti-oppression, and access to justice. This includes reports, policy analyses, position papers, and educational content that inform training, program development, and systemic change.

Resource Development

I develop clear, accessible, and practical legal and educational resources—such as articles, guides, toolkits, curricula, online courses, and training modules—on topics including family law, gender‑based violence, artificial intelligence and technology safety, anti‑racism, and equity‑focused practice.

Workshops & Trainings

I design and facilitate engaging, skills-focused workshops for service providers, community organizations, and legal professionals. Topics include:

  • Trauma-aware practice for legal and social service professionals

  • Intimate partner violence and gender-based violence

  • Family law processes and legal rights

  • Cultural humility and anti-oppression practice

  • Indigenous–Settler relationship-building

  • Diversity, equity, and inclusion

  • AI, technology safety, and the intersection with gender-based violence

Speaking Engagements

I speak on access to justice, systemic inequities in the legal system, family law reform, gender-based violence, and community-informed approaches to legal education. Whether presenting a keynote, contributing to a conference panel, or facilitating a professional development session, I bring both analytical depth and an accessible delivery style.

Project Management

I support organizations in designing, implementing, and managing justice‑oriented initiatives. My project management work spans stakeholder engagement, curriculum and program development, and evaluation planning — with equity principles and community accountability built in from the start, not added as an afterthought.

Policy Review & Development

I work with institutions to review and develop policies on anti-oppression, violence prevention, family law, technology safety, and cultural safety. My approach integrates legislative requirements, sector best practices, and evidence-informed strategies — with a consistent focus on equity, accessibility, and community well-being.
